Movies Watched Recently!

These are the 5 shows that I've over over the last 2 weeks... Now I'm waiting for The Proposal, which would be officially launched next week... Sandra Bullock is really a very grest actress! I love the shows she has acted, especially Miss Congeniality!

Duke and Ripcord are two specially trained military operatives who join an elite international team called "G.I. Joe." This highly-skilled unit works under the radar, answers to no one, uses the latest in ultra-high-tech equipment, and does not accept failure as an option. Their current assignment will take them all over the world as they go head-to-head with an infamous arms dealer known as Destro and learn the dark truths behind the ominous new organization known only as "Cobra."

Hmmmm... What shall I say about this show?? Well, I really enjoyed the whole show!! It's like, the action scenes are all so intense and interesting that I hardly even have time to blink my eye!! I would think this show is better than Terminator, but definitely not better than Transformer. Overall, this is a show, I definitely won't mind watching is many times. I was actually tempted to watch it one more time... But provided I have the time... LOL

UP - 6 August

From Disney-Pixar comes UP, a comedy adventure about 78-year-old balloon salesman Carl Fredricksen, who finally fulfills his lifelong dream of a great adventure when he ties thousands of balloons to his house and flies away to the wilds of South America. But he discovers all too late that his biggest nightmare has stowed away on the trip: an overly optimistic 9-year-old Wilderness Explorer named Russell. From the Academy Award-nominated director Pete Docter (Monsters, Inc.), Disney-Pixar's UP invites you on a hilarious journey into a lost world, with the least likely duo on Earth.
Russell is really so super duper cute!!! He actually remind me abit of *ahem*, TT.... LOL... And he knows are joking about him looking like the 'old version' of Russell... But well, it means he's still cute right... Haha... Anyway, this show is funny, but at the same time touching.. The love story of Carl & his wife, the bond that Carl & Russell and that 'talking dog' built throughout the whole adventure... It's really heartwarming... Great show for kids and adults as well! But I think the best thing about the show, is still about the cute little boy, Russell!!! Same as The Hangover's Alan, Russell have the face that you will laugh as as soon as you see it!!! LOL
Public Enemies - 2 August

In the action-thriller Public Enemies, acclaimed filmmaker Michael Mann directs Johnny Depp, Christian Bale and Academy Award winner Marion Cotillard in the story of legendary Depression-era outlaw John Dillinger (Depp) - the charismatic bank robber whose lightning raids made him the number one target of J. Edgar Hoovers fledgling FBI and its top agent, Melvin Purvis (Bale), and a folk hero to much of the downtrodden public. No one could stop Dillinger and his gang. No jail could hold him. His charm and audacious jailbreaks endeared him to almost everyone - from his girlfriend Billie Frechette to an American public who had no sympathy for the banks that had plunged the country into the Depression.

But while the adventures of Dillingers gang - later including the sociopathic Baby Face Nelson (Stephen Graham) and Alvin Karpis (Giovanni Ribisi) - thrilled many, Hoover (Billy Crudup) hit on the idea of exploiting the outlaws capture as a way to elevate his Bureau of Investigation into the national police force that became the FBI. He made Dillinger Americas first Public Enemy Number One and sent in Purvis, the dashing Clark Gable of the FBI.

However, Dillinger and his gang outwitted and outgunned Purvis men in wild chases and shootouts. Only after importing a crew of Western ex-lawmen (newly baptized as agents) and orchestrating epic betrayals - from the infamous Lady in Red to the Chicago crime boss Frank Nitti - were Purvis, the FBI and their new crew of gunfighters able to close in on Dillinger.

I enjoyed this show very much.. The story line is good, the acting is just great. Johnny Depp is so cool & sauve... Needless to say, his fabulous acting skills.... Too bad this show is about Johhny Depp being killed by the detective at the end... I was still thinking of an ending like the Leonardo DiCaprio in "Catch Me If You Can"......
The Hangover - 1 August

Written by the same creative and witty duo from Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, scribes Jon Lucas and Scott Moor showed the same ingenuity in The Hangover.

Two days before his wedding, Doug and his 3 friends [two best buddies: Phil (Bradley Cooper), a cynical high school teacher who collects school outings fees just for his Vegas trip, and Stu (Ed Helms), the loser, geeky dentist usually kept on a tight leash by his tyrant girlfriend (Rachel Harris). The ever friendly Alan (Zach Galifianakis), Doug's future brother-in-law, a dumb and dumber sort comes along looking for friendship.] drive to Las Vegas for a blow-out bachelor party they'll never forget.

But, in fact, when the three groomsmen wake up the next morning, they cant remember a thing. For some reason, they find a tiger in the bathroom and a six-month-old baby in the closet of their suite at Caesars Palace. The one thing they cant find is Doug. With no clue as to what transpired and little time to spare, the trio must retrace their hazy steps and all their bad decisions in order to figure out where things went wrong and hopefully get Doug back to L.A. in time to walk down the aisle.

This is a very entertaining and funny show... Only thing is, I think this should be M18 instead of NC16, cos of some of the coarse contents and scenes... Nontheless. that baby is really so cute and that fat guy Alan, looking at his face just make you wanna laugh! He's so funi, in the 'clown' way!

Fighting - 30 July

Small-town boy Shawn MacArthur (Channing Tatum) has come to New York City with nothing. Barely earning a living selling counterfeit goods on the streets, his luck changes when scam artist Harvey Boarden (Terrence Howard) sees that he has a natural talent for streetfighting. When Harvey offers Shawn help at making the real cash, the two form an uneasy partnership.

As Shawn’s manager, Harvey introduces him to the corrupt bare-knuckle circuit, where rich men bet on disposable pawns. Almost overnight, he becomes a star brawler, taking down professional boxers, mixed martial arts champs and ultimate fighters in a series of staggeringly intense bouts. But if Shawn ever hopes to escape the dark world in which he’s found himself, he must now face the toughest fight of his life.

Honestly, I really very very very very seldom comment that any movies is boring or not nice... But this show, is really really really bad!!!! I really almost got up and leave the cinema half-way through the show! The fighting scenes were very messy, very shaky filming, makes you feel giddy watching it.. And the way they fight, I don't really even say it's fighting! DUH! Don't waste your time & money watching this show. I'd rather you spend the money to watch movies like UP or G.I.Joe twice!!! This show is really bad... How did I even manage to survive through the whole show!!! I guess most of the ppl watching should have felt the same!!! -_-"
